How old do you have to be to rent a campervan in Portugal?
You have to be 21 years old and have held a driving licence for at least one year. This will allow you to rent the smaller camping cars or SUVs.
Can I take my campervan into Spain?
Yes, you can drive to Spain and most other European countries. Check with us before you set off as some countries are excluded. No campervans are permitted to drive to Morocco.
Can I pick up in one city and return to another in Portugal?
One-way rentals in Portugal are permitted. We advise booking early especially if you are considering renting during the summer months.
Can I collect a campervan in Portugal and return it to another European country?
One-way rentals within Europe are also an option. We offer rentals between most European cities.
Can you stay overnight anywhere in Portugal?
Portugal has very strict rules regarding "wild camping" or "boondocking". You are not allowed to free camp in Portugal. You must stay in designated campsites.

How Much Does it Cost To Rent a Campervan in Portugal?
Daily rental costs are much cheaper in low season during the winter months and start about Euro75 for smaller campers and increase in the summer months to over euro200 per day for larger motorhomes. Our booking engines lists exact costs before you book and offers a list of optional extras.
When is the best time to take a road trip around Portugal?
It is better to travel during Spring and Autumn as the weather is cooler. So, April, May and early June or September to mid Ocotber.
