Can I rent a campervan in the winter in Finland?
Although campervans and motorhomes are available for rent during the Finland winter we suggest that you don't rent during winter. The days are dark - only 6 hours of daylight in Helsinki, and the roads covered in snow and there are very few if any campsites open. If you are considering renting for skiing then you may be able to find overnight areas to spend the night. Check with the locals.
Can I pick up a campervan from one city in Finland and return it to another?
These are the depots to choose from and you can hire a campervan in any of these and return it to any other. One-way rentals to other cities in Europe are also available. Check the booking engine to see all the options when you are generating a quote.
A relocation fee may be applied and it will take a little longer to confirm.

When do the campsites open in Finland?
Campsites generally open at the beginning of summer so early June and close at the end of October depending on the weather.

Both small campers and large motorhomes have a good heating system.
Are the campervans winterised?
If you are expecting to travel in sub-zero temperatures then to prevent damage to the water system all the pipes will be drained so you will have no running water during the winter months inside the campervan.

What are the speed limits in Finland?
In built up areas it is 50kmh. On open roads it is 80-100kmh and on motorways 120kmh. Note that in winter speed is reduced to 80kmh on main roads and 100 kmh on motorways.
