14-Day Campervan Road Trip Itinerary - Starting and Finishing in Faro, Portugal

Day 1: Faro to Lagos

• Distance: Approximately 90 km (56 miles)

• Driving Time: Around 1.5 hours

• Campsite: Stay at Camping Turiscampo.

• Highlights: Explore Ponta da Piedade's stunning cliffs and beaches. Enjoy water sports like kayaking or stand-up paddleboarding at Praia Dona Ana.
  Head to Ponta da Piedade, with limestone cliffs, hidden caves, and secluded beaches. Take a boat tour to explore the caves and hidden coves. Then visit Praia Dona Ana beach in the Algarve. Rent a kayak or stand-up paddleboard. Dine out in Lagos.

Day 2: Lagos to Sagres

Day 3: Sagres to Aljezur

• Highlights: Visit Arrifana Beach for surfing and explore the Aljezur.

Day 4: Aljezur to Monchique

• Campsite: Camp at Parque de Campismo.

• Highlights: Trek through Monchique's forests, visit Caldas de Monchique, famous for its natural spa.

Day 5: Monchique to Silves

• Distance: About 35 km (22 miles)

• Driving Time: Roughly 45 minutes

• Campsite: Stay at Camping Valverde.

• Highlights: Explore Silves Castle and its historic town center. Try the local specialty, choco frito, a delicious dish of fried eel.

Day 6: Silves to Albufeira

• Distance: Approximately 20 km (12 miles)

• Driving Time: About 30 minutes

• Campsite: Camp at Camping Albufeira.

• Highlights:Visit Praia da Oura and explore Albufeira and explore the Old Town's narrow streets and beaches Take a boat trip to watch the sunset over the Ria Formosa Lagoon.

Day 7: Albufeira to Vilamoura

Day 8: Vilamoura to Tavira

Day 9: Tavira to Castro Marim

Day 11: Vila Real de Santo António to Faro
